well it’s the day before i leave for utah! i’m so excited to see my daughter AND my son is driving down from oregon. havent seen anthony in 2 years so my heart is leaping! this will be short and sweet just to update a few things. i will have wifi but phone service is sketchy at best. iPhone to iPhone texting works. if you try to reach me, be patient, as i may not get any messages until we get into an area with service. you can pm me on Facebook tho.
after i close this afternoon, the shop will be closed through september 15th but will reopen friday, september 16th which will coincide with the first day of the STASH SALE! i have had SO many wonderful things delivered for this sale. it will run at least through october 1. if it goes well, it will be extended a week or so. check the classes/events page on the website and/or my Facebook page for updates.

TRUNK SHOW EXCLUSIVE!!
Carlene Dowell of The PrAiry Girl in maryland has some amazing yarns all spun from her own little beautiful farm. i met carlene at the ligonier country market where she sells her fiber, curls, and yarn. this yarn is basic and very homespun. she raises gotland (a rare breed) and other breeds and makes yarn from what she calls her ‘chubby little white girls’. she is a real gem and you will enjoy meeting her here at the shop on saturday, october 8 from 10 to 2. carlene has never done a trunk show and is very excited about this event. i am happy to introduce you all to her so please mark you calendar. we’ll have refreshments and tons of fun just like we did during the Youghiogheny Yarns trunk show last month. more details to come!
well it’s all i can think of at this time. wish me luck on my long drive – about 30 hours of driving time. i will leave greensburg tomorrow early early and hopefully arrive in boulder utah thursday before dark. as always, depends on traffic, weather, etc. tom’s here holding down the fort – or should i say farm. i will miss my animals (and tom) terribly but i know my heart will be filled when i return! if you’re so inclined, i plan on posting pictures of my trip on my Facebook page and share the beautiful sights i will see along the way…..
