7.24.16

we’re all getting ready for the upcoming Steel Valley Yarn Crawl.  this year’s dates are friday july 29th through sunday august 7th.  raggz will indeed be open all ten days of the crawl again this year with extended hours.  my hours will be as follows:

friday july 29th – 10 to 7

saturday july 30th – 10 to 5

sunday july 31st – 11 to 4

monday august 1st – 10 to 5

tuesday august 2nd – 10 to 7

wednesday august 3rd – 10 to 5

thursday august 4th – 10 to 5

friday august 5th – 10 to 7

saturday august 6th – 10 to 5

sunday august 7th – 11 to 4

most of the shops still have bags available, including mine.  bags are $10 plus tax and include the passport and eleven tickets which are good for any of the eleven participating shops.  PLEASE NOTE:  when you make a purchase at a shop, you will be given tickets of a completely different color.  these tickets are good ONLY for the shop where the purchase was made.  looking forward to seeing everyone again – it’s a fun ten days!  thanks in advance to all the ladies who are helping me during this time.  much appreciated!

SO after these ten days are under our belt, i will be closing for ten days or so to visit my daughter in Boulder, Utah.  yes she lives in Boulder, Colorado but is spending the summer in Boulder, Utah.  weird, huh?

i will be open the tuesday (8/9) following the crawl.  i will leave the following thursday and havent decided whether i’m driving or flying just yet.  it’s a 30 hour drive.  but hey, i’ve driven 24 hours easily enough, so what’s 6 more?  i plan on reopening friday august 26th, so the yarn dying class taught by Keri Fosbrink of Youghiogheny Yarns will still be on saturday, august 27th at 2 pm as scheduled.

the YOUGHIOGHENY YARNS TRUNK SHOW was a big hit!  we sold a LOT of Keri’s beautiful yarn with orders for more!  i now have a stock of her yarn at the shop, including my very own color way we devised.  during the yarn crawl a contest was held to name it and Katie Hellman won thus naming my yarn “RaggZamuffin”!!  i love it.  i only ordered a limited amount, so when it’s gone, it’s gone.  get yours SOON before it’s too late!

NEW NEW NEW

PANORAMA FIBER hand dyed fiber and gradient yarns out of Texas are now part of my inventory.  i discovered these amazing fibers on ravelry.  in my quest to support small businesses, i am happy to be the only shop in PA to carry her yarn so far.  it can be found at a few stores local to her in Texas, but so far, i’m the only yankee with her amazing yarns!

STASH SALE UPDATE

previously i listed the drop off dates as august 19 through 27th.  as my trip is during that time, drop off dates will now be august 27th through september 6th.  please don’t wait until the last minute to drop things off.  the dates of the stash sale will remain the same – september 9th through september 24th.  within 2 weeks after that, your unsold stash and/or your raggz gift card for the stash you did sell will be available.  be patient with me please, this is my first attempt at this but i think it’s going to be really fun.
